It also   The Social Science Model Making Competitions are organised regularly for the model solutions on theme based problems/ subjects.

Nanubhai Amin Award for Innovative Science Exhibit is annually being organised which provides students to express their innovative ideas into working models.

Some of our major projects are:

The Vigyan Express : a Mobile Science Experiential Learning Facility supplementing science learning for 20 primary Government (Municipal) Schools of Vadodara city. The project has been supported by the United Way of Baroda (UWB) since 2017-18. The Vigyan Express, mounted on a Tata Winger four-wheeler facilitates teaching of scientific experiments to Class 6, 7 and 8. The year-round program provides fun-filled hands on science experiments, which are part of the curriculum of the state government and NCERT text books. The experiments involving school children have made science learning easy. The program has been impactful with the lab learning enriched the understanding of children and teachers of the Schools. The success of the program saw the extension of the project in 2018-19. The CSC has reached to about 5000 direct beneficiaries.

Science on Wheels - the Vigyan Rath : a specially designed Mobile Van that takes science to the doorsteps of rural Vadodara and Bharuch. The project has been supported under CSR by the Gujarat Alkalies and Chemicals (GACL) Ltd.’s Education Society in 2017-18 to promote and popularize S and T in rural areas of Vadodara. The Vehicle is equipped with scientific models, IEC resources in the form of exhibits, books, films etc. The Vigyan Rath visits schools and institutions in rural areas to generate awareness on various scientific themes viz. Aandh Sharaddha Nivaran, Renewable Energy Technologies, Energy Conservation, Biodiversity and Ecosystem Conservation, Environmental Education, Sustainable Energy and Climate Change. The Van has generated awareness in over 200 schools in villages and reached out to over 15000 participants in the past two years.

Vaho Viswamitri Abhiyan - VVA  (Campaign) : The Centre’s flagship project VVA envisages the holistic eco-development to revive and rejuvenate the Vishwamitri River. The Campaign plans to revive entire stretch of the 134 km long River, which originates from the foothills of Pavagadh Hills in central Gujarat and meets the Gulf of Khambat. VVA has generated a momentum among citizens and government functionaries. The holistic eco-development plan of the River that includes biodiversity and ecosystem conservation model has been hailed by eminent personalities like late Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam, Shri. Sundarlal Bahuguna, Dr. R. Chidambaram, Shri. Rajendra Singh, Dr. Anil Kakodkar, Dr. Manju Sharma and other eminent personalities.

The VVA model is is aimed at reviving the biodiversity and encourages sustainable development along its banks for a Clean-n-Green central part of Gujarat State. The Campaign has been planned to be implemented by a multi-stakeholder’s engagement mechanism that can help address climate change issues at the community level. Under the VVA, the Centre has been organizing “Meets, Awareness Generation and Advocacy Programs” on river revival themes for the multi-stakeholder groups. The deliberations, discussions and recommendations of the Campaign along with other active environmental groups were able to convince Local Authorities to scrap the cemented River front on the River banks and propose an alternative with revival of river including Biodiversity and Ecosystem Conservation. The Centre is thus on the threshold of sustainable development activities for various target audiences that are prescribed by UN-DESA (United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs) Division for Sustainable Development (DSD).
