The Vigyan Express:

Vigyan Express: Mobile Science Experiential Learning in Municipal School of Vadodara (United Way of Baroda).

 A Mobile Science Experiential Learning facility has been supported by the United Way of Baroda (UWB) in 2017-18. This Van is a Tata Winger four-wheeler; GPS-enabled has been designed for the city locations. The program supplements teaching of scientific experiments to Class 6, 7 and 8 of the 20 Government (Municipal) Corporation Schools of Vadodara city. This Vigyan Express is designed and equipped to carry requisite educational resources mainly experimenting material, scientific equipments and hands on models covering a wide range of important concepts of physics, chemistry, biology and health. The syllabus is as prescribed by the GCERT and NCERT.

The teaching module of the program includes fun-filled hands on science. This year-round activity has made science learning easy to Municipal Corporation School Students. The UWB extended the program for the subsequent year (2018-19) in the same 20 schools due to encouraging project outcome.

As preliminary introductory activities, the CSC conducted Summer Vacation Workshops during April 2018 for 5 Municipal Corporation Schools that included 60 students. Art and Craft, Magic with Science, Paper Aero modeling and Science Experiments, Astronomy, Film show on Universe, Magic Show, Rocketry, Science Model Making, Science Experiments etc.

The comparison between the baseline and the end line analyses had encouraging results revealing the improved student performances.
