National Children’s Science Congress (NCSC) for Vadodara District
The Centre coordinates the Vadodara district’s National Children’s Science Congress (NCSC). The Centre conduct orientation programs for Teachers who guides the young scientists/ participants. This orientation includes basic guidelines, program details, it’s methodology and presentation in prescribed scientific format. Young scientists who participate in the process continuously interact with their Guide Teacher and The Centre for their research project guidance and counselling.
The online registration for the research works those are under taken by child scientists crosses over a hundred projects. Team of Young enthusiastic scientist come up with various research project ideas those try to solve local problems under Sub-themes planned by National Council of Science and Technology Communication – NCSTC Network, Department of Science and Technology, Govt of India. The program is aimed at Learning by Doing in which child scientist identify a problem, design experiments to solve it. They also write research paper in the manner of scientific journals. The Junior Group member belongs to 10 to 14 years of age; Senior Group aged above14 till 17 years of age. They work on a problem solving project for the benefit of science and the community.

Main Theme: Science for Sustainable living- which is further parted in following sub-themes.
Sub Theme 1 : Eco System for Sustainable Living; Sub Theme 2 : Appropriate Technology for Sustainable Living; Sub Theme 3 : Social Innovation for Sustainable Living; Sub Theme 4 : Design, Development and Modelling for Sustainable Living and Sub Theme 5 : Traditional Knowledge System (TKS) for Sustainable Living.
